CANDELILLA WAX |
| Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax | Candelilla wax is obtained from a shrub-like member of the spurge family, Euphorbia, native to Mexico. A protective layer of the wax covers the plant. And in the same way as it protects the plant, this wax protects the skin against moisture loss and makes it soft and supple. It is found as a natural texturizer in lipsticks and creams. |

| Vitex Agnus Castus Extract | The chaste tree, also known as monk’s pepper, belongs to the Verbena family. Its leaves are palmate, or hand-shaped, with pinnate (feathery) leaflets. Above these grow dense, candle-shaped blooms with many lavender florets. We use the seeds to prepare the chaste tree extract in Dr. Hauschka Skin Care products using our own special rhythmic process. |
CHICKPEA Extract |
| Cicer Arietinum Seed Extract | With its high protein content and the foamy saponins, chick pea extract offers sillicon-free smoothing and cleansing effects for natural hair care. Proteins envelop the hair and make it easier to comb. |
CHICORY Extract |
| Cichorium Intybus (Chicory) Extract | We find it by the wayside and are surprised by the ephemeral blue flowers on the hard, rigid stalks. A long, spindle-shaped root anchors the plant firmly in the ground allowing it to endure both wet and dry periods and survive the winter. Although chicory has such a dry appearance, the whole plant is permeated with a bitter, milky sap. Together with dandelion it is used for autumn and spring cleansing regimens. |
