As a supporting element, our oil-free Hair Tonic plays an important role in our hair care range: it helps invigorate and balance your scalp. And because a healthy scalp lays the foundation for healthy hair, you will see its enlivening effects right through to the ends. The refreshing, invigorating nature of our hair tonic is emphasized by its aromatic herbal fragrance. This oil-free Hair Tonic is especially suitable for fine, oily hair, and dry, irritated scalp. You can also use it as a gently setting styling lotion. New is the practical pump atomizer, which allows for easy and sparing application.
Dr. Hauschka Hair Tonic balances and enlivens all scalp and hair. The oil-free formulation with neem, nettle, birch bark, arnica and burdock root addresses a variety of hair and scalp needs. If hair is producing too much oil, the hair tonic has a balancing effect. With fine hair, the tonic helps provide more volume and protection against breakage.

The pump spray enables fast and easy application. Use after every Shampoo, or daily as needed. Our Hair Tonic can be applied to damp or dry hair. Part the hair and spray evenly onto the scalp. Use the fingertips to gently massage in. Do not rinse out. For use as a styling lotion, apply generously to damp hair.

Very effective, soothing scalp tonic
Over the past year or so, my hair has been mysteriously thinning out, not in chunks, but as a definite gradual thinning. I tried several 'high end' brands and none aside from one 100% botanical hair care brand from Paris along with Dr. Hauschka had any effect. Normally I would have run to Rausch Swiss hair care as they make two kinds of scalp tonics that are unlike anything else I've ever seen or tried, but Rausch is no longer available in the US, so I tried Dr. Hauschka and can say with confidence the Dr. H hair tonic is nearly on par with Rausch. I had an old empty Rausch hair tonic bottle to remind me to try find that tonic somewhere in the US again, so I re-filled it with two full sized bottles of Dr. H hair tonic so that I could use the specialized bottle tip which dispenses directly onto the scalp as much or little as I want and in very targeted areas rather than spraying which I don't like as much (hint hint, Dr. H please consider a bottle tip like Rausch's). I was stunned by how well the Dr. H tonic works. I use the tonic every other day on either wet or dry hair, makes no difference as it has no interference on how my hair physically looks aside from fluffing it up just a bit which is a nice touch. This treatment along with the Dr. H hair oil which I use once a week on my hair and scalp for several hours before I wash it has solved my hair problem of hair thinning and weirdly itchy, dry scalp yet no dandruff. I'm back to having a health head now! Halleluja! Only took about 3 months total to completely cure over a year's worth of hair and scalp problems at age 57. My hair is now full and fluffy and soft and super shiny as I use the hair tonic and oil for constant maintenance. Dr. H hair care should be in the fancy dept. stores right on the shelf next to all the hyped up brands that I've found to be mostly empty promises. The Dr. H hair tonic and oil are better than most other brands, and certainly equal to over-priced Greyl and unobtainable Rausch. Now I'm waiting for a spray-on, leave-in conditioner from Dr. H that doubles as a light styling mist. :)
