This Dr. Hauschka body oil tones your skin with the fortifying, hardy blackthorn plant, which blooms in the earliest days of spring and produces the first wild fruit of the year. All of this energy and delicacy is contained in the formulation of our Blackthorn Toning Body Oil. When applied during a massage, it helps fortify, warm and tone the skin. It is therefore highly recommended for use during pregnancy. Blackthorn oil can helps invigorate and provides welcome support through the colder, darker seasons.
Supple, toned skin depends upon skin elasticity. Blackthorn Toning Body Oil features extracts of tender blackthorn blossoms and birch leaves to promote skin elasticity. Sun-drenched St. John’s wort and jojoba oil support the skin’s processes of renewal to fortify stressed skin. Drawing on these properties, Blackthorn Toning Body Oil effectively minimizes the appearance of stretch marks due to weight loss or weight gain. Formulation: Blackthorn blossoms, birch leaves and St. John’s wort are combined with sunflower oil then carefully blended using unique rhythmic processing methods to allow the properties of the nurturing plants to be transferred to the oil.

Apply evenly and massage into skin. Applying to moist skin after bathing or showering provides the most effective absorption.

For a toning massage that helps to keep your skin elastic, smooth a small amount of Blackthorn Body Oil over the skin then grasp the skin between your thumb and index finger, pulling it gently upwards before releasing. Repeat five times before moving onto the next area of skin.

Wonderful warm, earthy scent
I've loved the blackthorn oil by Dr. Hauschka since I discovered it at my gym when another member was using it. The scent is so natural and woodsy. It's not cloying or sweet which I tend to stay away from. It is an oil, but it easily soaks into the skin and doesn't leave a film like some other body oils can do. Truly a great product if you prefer a scent that is a bit more gender neutral.
