Eyeshadow

These shadows are so nice. I have all three colors, as well as the brow palette, and they do a great job of bringing out my brown eyes. I do wish this shadow came in a light, cool pink color - a baby pink with just a hint of pink to it. (I have this color shadow from another brand and have noticed that this light pink color really brightens up the eyes and face.) I prefer to use Dr. Hauschka for all my face makeup, because I know it doesn't have any harmful chemicals in it. So I wish Dr. Hauschka would offer more colors. A light pale lavender color would be nice, too. :)

This color is a very dark green (almost black in some ways). It goes on very smooth, yet rich. It's not a challenge to transfer from the pallet to the eyeshadow brush and the color applies to the eyelid nicely. Has a little bit of a shimmer without going overboard. Perfect for any look or style. If you are goth and want to wear something that is not completely black, but still says "goth", this is a great color to pickup.

I love that these little eyeshadows do not contain toxins, and they are small enough to just drop one into my smallest size cosmetic bag that I often use in my really small daily purse. The coverage is nice, the powder glides easily and the brush is just right for application. I have switched to single shade eyeshadows in the past few years and love how much more simple it makes my day.

After years of using a different brand that I loved, when it finally was used up, I decided to try Dr. H's version despite the fact that I would have to buy two separate eye shadows rather than one compact with three choices. For my gray eyes, both the shades are subtle and create an illusion that my eyes are either on the greenish side or are blue. Nothing dramatic, just enhancing.

This is a great earth tone color. Has a really nice natural look. I'm very happy with it!

I bought the Golden Topaz, but believe this review will apply to any of the shades. I was hoping the product was only lightly shimmery, but in fact it is a heavy frost. It is highly saturated, so it goes on thickly. With practice you can get it to go on much lighter, but your application has to be whisper-light, both in how much product you apply to the brush and how truly weightless your touch is. They suggest using their shadow brush, but perhaps a Q-Tip would work better for ultra-light application and you can place the color right where you want it more easily. Lastly, you can tell that the ingredients are better than other eyeshadows because it has a softness to it that feels nice on the skin.
