As winter settles in, our skin’s hydration levels reach their lowest—cold, dry air and harsh winds outdoors meet heated, moisture-depleting air indoors. This season, your skin craves more support to maintain a healthy, resilient barrier. Think humectants to draw in moisture, emollients to soften, and occlusives to lock in lasting nourishment. What's your winter go-to?
The fast-growing Neem tree thrives in hot tropical climates. The tree is covered by a pale grey bark, beneath which is a reddish wood. Neem leaves have been used by WALA ever since Elisabeth Sigmund, the founder of Dr. Hauschka Skin Care, brought back this valuable tree from a study visit to India. Extracts of the leaves are contained in our Eye Balm, Brow & Lash Gel, Hair Conditioner and much more. What is your favorite product powered by Neem?
We do things differently. Our concept aims to cleanse, tone, moisturize and beautify, while also considering the skin’s natural day/night rhythm. Each formula is crafted to work with your skin, supporting balance and vitality that lasts over time. What's your skincare ritual that's truly aligned with your skin’s natural rhythm?
This holiday season, give the gift of renewal. Our Regenerating Collection addresses what time takes, firmness, smoothness, radiance, with concentrated botanicals. Not harsh actives that force change, but plants that support your skin's own ability to renew itself. Who in your life deserves this kind of thoughtful care?
During this season in our garden, the winter sun turns away, daylight shortens, and colder temperatures settle in. It’s a time to slow down, pause, and listen to your skin’s natural rhythms. Our skincare rituals are thoughtfully curated to envelop your skin in nurturing, restorative care. How will you care for your skin as it transitions into the winter months?
More than 150 of the various nurturing plants we use in the production of our products and WALA Medicines are cultivated in our own medicinal herb garden. With our garden, we have created a colorful biotope and a unique area of biodiversity. The garden not only provides the perfect conditions for each and every plant, but also for multiple animals. We keep several bee colonies and provide nesting holes for birds, piles of stones for lizards and wild bees, and a pond for frogs, toads, and multiple other species. Our herb garden provides a stable habitat and varied food supply all year round. Did you know that our garden supports more than plants—but that it sustains a full ecosystem?
