Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499) Derived from iron ore, iron oxides are the most important mineral pigments in natural decorative cosmetics. They occur in various shades, from yellow to red-brown to black. Three varieties of iron oxides, European Color Index numbers: 77491, 77492, and 77499, are used in Dr.Hauschka products.

Kalanchoe Daigremontiana Leaf Extract Kalanchoe is a succulent plant with astringent and skin soothing properties. Large volumes of water are stored in the leaves and stem of this plant, while its waxy coating prevents the liquid from evaporating. It has a revitalizing and protective quality that softens, soothes and hydrates the skin.

Kali Carbonicum [from beech wood ash] (B) 9x Kali Carbonicum, or potassium carbonate, has a strong relationship to fluid management and the chemical processes of the liver. Derived from beech wood ash and homeopathically potentized, potassium carbonate works to help build up substances and tissues on a cellular level, bolstering the functions of the liver and helping the body overcome imbalances and inflammation in the head and bronchial regions.

Leptospermun Scoparium Branch/Leaf Oil Manuka oil is the pungent-smelling essential oil distilled from the leaves of the manuka tree (bush). Manuca trees are native to New Zealand and belong to the myrtle family (Myrtaceae). Manuka oil has been valued by the Maoris for centuries and is used for the care of blemished skin. Its benefits are finding increasing recognition in Europe, too. Often called “tea tree” it is not botanically related to tea tree oil (Australian Melaleuca species), though has similar properties.
