Heifer International Partnership

Since 1944, Heifer International has helped millions of people in more than 125 countries including the

United States

to feed and educate their children, house their families, care for their sick and build strong, self-reliant communities.

Heifer provides families with gifts of livestock along with training to help them care for the animals. Those who receive the gift of livestock donate female offspring to others in the community, ensuring that the gift of food is never-ending. In addition to cows, Heifer provides gifts of water buffaloes, llamas, goats, sheep, rabbits, honeybees, pigs, chicks, ducks, geese and even trees. Each gift is a way of “passing on the gift” of better nutrition and economic independence.

We recognize a kindred spirit in Heifer. We are touched and inspired by Heifer’s efforts to expand self-reliance, dignity and hope. We share Heifer’s belief that communities can live and thrive together in peace, equitably sharing the resources of a healthy planet.
